Envelope to Card (6791)

A great super-visual effect, good to use in your close-up act but also certainly beautiful to use in videos or on social media. It looks like a CGI when you see it, but it is not!

Effect:

You take an envelope from your pocket, show it on both sides and open it to show that there is a card in it (a prediction). Then you take a deck of cards and let a spectator choose a card from the deck, then you take the envelope again, take it between your thumb and index finger, and in one small waving movement the envelope changes into a playing card, but the audience is seeing the back only for the moment. Now ask which card the spectator has chosen and then turn the card in your hand over – it is the same card as the chosen card – the envelope has disappeared without a trace.
