Zig Zag (1834)

A grand illusion in pocket size. And yet this remains…a very big illusion! A chosen card is placed face up, covered on top with another card in which are two big, circular openings. Through those holes, you can always see the image side of the chosen card. And still you are able to slide both halves apart almost all the way. It remains a bizarre sight! A moment later, you bring both halves back together again and restore everything to its original state. Both cards can be handed out for examination right away, and can be thoroughly checked. That is a feat which may also be called impressive…

No complicated moves. Everything is done very naturally. A strong effect!
