Have your spectator tie as many knots as they like in the rope once passed through the hole in the block only to have the block penetrate the rope with the knots still in place. Or loop the rope through the block and show it to be securer by twirling the rope and block around in your hand. Place the two secure pieces in the spectators hand and watch their amazement as the rope simply melts through the rope right in their hands.
