Hydrostatic Glass (1085)

A clear glass is filled with water or coloured liquid. A piece of paper is placed over the mouth of the glass, held in place by your hand, and the glass turned upside down. The hand is removed, and the paper stays over the mouth of the glass, and the liquid suspended inside the glass. This is a standard scientific stunt, the paper being held over the mouth of the glass by air pressure. That’s Science !
The magician now peels away the paper from the mouth of the glass, but the liquid still stays magically suspended inside the glass. That’s Magic ! Finally he places a container under the glass, and all the liquid splashes out into the container. That’s Logic!
