As the name implies “invisible thread” is “invisible” under proper performing conditions. Therefore, it is difficult for the performer to handle or see it. You cannot see or feel and pick up invisible thread like you would some other gimmick. The Reel supplied is designed to allow you to easily access the thread when you require it.
Invisible thread is used for levitation and animation effects, often right under a spectator’s nose. The most famous of the effects with Invisible Thread was Fred Kap’s Floating and Dancing Cork, where a cork floated in mid-air right under a spectator’s nose. They didn’t have Thread Reels then, so handling the thread was more cumbersome.
Today there are several such effects for animating or levitating light objects like currency notes, cigarettes, match sticks, fine silks, etc. Amongst the most famous of these are Kevin James’ Floating Rose, and Michael Ammar’s Floating Bill. Their working becomes simpler with the Thread Reel.

The reel has an ample supply of thread, in case you break it. With a little practice, the animation effects you can achieve will be amazing.
