Kufference 2022 Patrik Kuffs Lecture Notes & Gimmicks

Patrik Kufffs gave a lecture for our shop in September 2022 and specially translated his – normally –  French-language lecture notes in English. We have acquired a limited edition of these exclusive lecture notes from Patrik (there are no more printed). These lecture notes, like Patrik’s style, are printed in a special way, on a kind of map – brochure that you can unfold completely. And what do we like best about all this, receiving TWO gimmicks for his THOUGHT SWIPER ROUTINE.

You will learn the following tricks in the lecture notes:

• THOUGHT SWIPER – One or two spectators think of a card without further discussion. By having the spectators each swipe a finger over a card, you can see exactly which cards the spectators are thinking about, without the spectator having any idea that you already know this. Very cool in combination with an invisible deck, you can remove the thought off card out of your invisible deck before the spectator has even mentioned the card. Your two special cards (one spare) are included, these together are worth the price of these lecture notes.
• DANGEROUS MONTE – This is the original version of a later Scott Alexander released effect called Shattered where you place a number of paper bags on the table and the spectators get to choose which bags you smash. The remaining bag is then opened, it turns out to be half a razor-sharp bottle…if the spectators had chosen this bag to smash….
• DRAWING A BLANK – A spectator may draw an ESP symbol, card, name, number or whatever  on a blank sheet of paper and – but with a closed pen so that nothing appears on the paper. The idea is that his brain processes the movements he makes to draw or write down the chosen item. You ask the spectator to focus on his drawing and you take a marker. You then also take a sheet of paper and move your arm over the paper and duplicate exactly what the spectator has in mind!
• KONTOUR – A spectator chooses the name of a famous person and you start cutting in a folded sheet of paper, when you open the sheet the silhouette of the chosen person is cut out.
• ITP : You about a dream you had where Albert Einstein gave you a formula. You wrote and brought these with you right after waking up. You take a toilet roll and tear off a sheet with the formula. You hand the sheet to a spectator. Then you unroll a length of toilet paper, tear off the strip and ask a spectator to do the same, but they can choose the length. Then the spectator can read the formula and guess what, the formula predicts exactly the number of sheets of paper that have been torn from the toilet roll by both parties together.
