You receive the special examinable Bicycle Poker deck with instructions. We describe three routines which are each in the instructions;
Wide Open – Gary Ouellet’s version of the Curry Open Prediction features an amazing handling of a classic effect. The magician makes an open prediction, say the Ace of Hearts. The spectator takes the deck, deals cards face up onto the table and, wherever he chooses, deals one card face down. He then continues to deal through the entire deck, never finding the Ace of Hearts. At the end, the one reversed card is the Ace of Hearts, your prediction. The magician never touches the cards and the spectator deals every card in the deck.
Too Good To Be True – Patrick Reymond and Jean Boucher’s approach to another classic. A spectator is asked to take a full deck, remove it from view, take any card out, turn it upside down and insert it back anywhere in the deck. You accurately predict the selected card. Note that the deck is a true 52 card deck without any duplicates. The spectator can select a card from anywhere in the deck and put it back anywhere in the deck. The spectator spreads the cards to reveal the ending.
Do-Wah as I Do-Wah – A spectator cuts the deck in half. He keeps one half and hands you the other. Both of you shuffle your halves and give each other two cards. It turns out you have found the four Kings!
These three miracles are all brought about by the Proton Deck. The Proton Deck is a full deck of 52 cards that can be used as a regular deck for other tricks.
